Information for speakers

Lecture conditions of the European Union of Hearing Aid Acousticians (EUHA)

By submitting a lecture proposal, speakers accept the following lecture conditions of the European Union of Hearing Aid Acousticians (EUHA).

1. Selection and program

After positive evaluation by the scientific advisory board, the presentation will be included in the event program. Publication will take place via the EUHA’s communication channels (e.g., website, app, print media, trade press, social media).

The EUHA reserves the right to make changes to the program and to cancel events.

2. Delivery of the presentation

The speaker named in the presentation proposal will deliver the presentation in person. If this is not possible, a suitably qualified replacement will be named after prior consultation. Any additional costs will be borne by the speakers themselves.

The presentation shall correspond to the submitted topic, be professionally neutral, and free of advertising or product-related content.

3. Presentation and deadlines

The EUHA provides a uniform presentation template.
The presentation must be submitted by the deadline:

  • In-person events: no later than 14 days before the start of the event
  • Digital formats (e.g., webinars): by the individually agreed date

This is particularly useful for preparing translations, subtitles, or technical processes.

4. Digital events

Presentations can be recorded in advance or during an in-person event and published digitally.
At the time of publication, speakers will be available for a live chat or moderated questions via video conference, if possible.

5. Presentation languages

EUHA Congress: German and English (with simultaneous translation or subtitles)
Other events: German and English
International speakers may submit their presentations in English.

6. Technology (in-person events)

The EUHA will provide the necessary presentation technology. A technical rehearsal is recommended.
Speakers are requested to be on site 2 hours before the start of their presentation and to provide their final presentation during the media check to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

7. Rights of use and exploitation

Speakers warrant that all submitted and presented content (e.g., texts, graphics, images, videos) is free of third-party rights or that the corresponding rights of use have been obtained.

By accepting the presentation, speakers grant the EUHA the right, free of charge and without any time or geographical restrictions, to

  • document, reproduce, and publish presentations and accompanying materials,
  • make and use image, audio, and video recordings,
  • use content for the implementation, follow-up, and promotion of the event,
produce translations into German and/or English.
  • Authorship will be appropriately acknowledged.

The EUHA will accommodate any deviating publication requests as far as possible. This must be agreed upon in advance by both parties.

8. Professional publications

Speakers agree to support the EUHA in the event of a possible professional publication.

9. Data protection

Personal data and submitted documents will be processed and stored in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations (GDPR)

  • for the purpose of organizing the event,
  • for review by the scientific advisory board,
  • and for advertising the event.

10. Disclaimer

The content of the presentations has been prepared with the greatest possible care. The organizer accepts no liability for material or immaterial damage resulting from the use or non-use of the information provided, unless there is evidence of wilful intent or gross negligence.

The organizer accepts no liability for the content of external websites referred to within the scope of the offer. No illegal content was apparent at the time the links were created. The organizer has no influence on the current or future design and content of the linked pages; the provider of the linked page is responsible in each case.

11. Final provisions

Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of the EUHA office. This provision also applies to international speakers, to the extent permitted by law.
