EUHA Review 2022
The 66th International EUHA Congress was held in Hanover, Germany, between 12 and 14 October 2022.

Once again, the BVHI and the EUHA offered a brilliant EUHA Congress featuring 118 exhibitors and thirty lectures.
Organisers registered an overall of 7,400 admittances, with delegates from 97 countries taking part, an increase by 61 percent over last year.
The programme of specialist lectures featured twenty-six lectures and five tutorials from the fields of Research & Science, Practical Application, Marketing & Communication, Public Health Politics & the Future. In the course of the Science Symposium debuted this year, the EUHA Sponsorship Awards were presented. The awardees are graduates from the Lübeck Technical University of Applied Sciences, the Ruprecht Karl University of Heidelberg, and the Medipol University, Istanbul (Turkey). The award-winning papers will soon be available on the EUHA website. This year’s Award of the FDHA foundation was presented to Dr. Thomas Steffens from the ENT Clinic at Regensburg University.
The new EUHA Guideline 08-01, v1, “Implantierte Hörsysteme in der Hörakustik” (Implanted hearing systems in hearing aid acoustics, available in German only), was developed this year, and introduced at the Congress. It is available for download free of charge from https://www.euha.org/leitlinien/.
At the EUHA’s General Meeting, President Beate Gromke presented the EUHA’s new vision: Your community * Your know-how * Your future – which we will fill with life in the coming year.

Another highlight of the Congress was the popular EUHA Congress Get-together. Some 700 participants used the evening event to network and celebrate. Music from the Bandmanufaktur provided a pleasant atmosphere. The Green motto rocked.
Future Friday had four further keynote lectures in store covering topics such as the future of inner-city retail, digital services, and innovative technology for the management of minor hearing losses as well as the importance of audiological properties of modern hearing systems. The recordings of the presentations are available at the end of this page, please scroll down.
For the first time, the EUHA showroom was open on all three days of the Congress. The BVHI member companies presented their new products on eleven pedestals.
Using the new EUHA Congress app, delegates were always up-to-date. The floor plan of the exhibition and the specialist lecture programme provided all the information required. Visitors were able to evaluate lectures online as well as to chat with other participants.
Again, the industry exhibition offered impressive exhibition stands presenting product highlights and lots of information.
We should like to thank all exhibitors, lecturers, presenters, the EUHA scientific advisory committee, the jury for the EUHA Sponsorship Award, all service providers, Deutsche Messe Hannover, the BVHI as our partner association and our advertising partners for their support, and, of course, all visitors for their participation.
