EUHA – new name and new logo

As of 16 February 2017, the German designation of Europäische Union der Hörgeräteakustiker e. V. was changed to Europäische Union der Hörakustiker e. V.

The new name reflects the changes affecting the profession and occupational profile of hearing aid acousticians. The focus has shifted from technology to people, placing man at the centre of hearing aid fitting. Rehabilitation, extended services as well as holistic consulting offered to customers are integral parts of hearing aid fitting to compensate for hearing impairment.

Martin Blecker: "We consider this name change a clear signal of our efforts for the benefit of people. We are not just hearing aid specialists. We are the link between people and technology. Without hearing aid acousticians, innovative technology would be of little use to people. Our change of name is another step towards the future.”

However, the English translation of our name – European Union of Hearing Aid Acousticians (EUHA) – will not be affected. The new EUHA logo is available from the EUHA office.
