2024 Digital EUHA Spring Conference: Running until 31 May!

Twenty-three expert lectures are now available to anyone registering. The wide-ranging programme covers the fields of research & science, practical application, marketing & communication as well as forward-looking topics. The lectures are presented in German and English, offered in “Basic” and “Advanced” levels – so there will be something for everyone. There are presentations, for instance, on current tools such as Auracast, loudness in hearing aid fitting, and cognitive screenings. Other topics include speech intelligibility and listening effort as well as the concept of holistic hearing care.

At the opening event, EUHA President Beate Gromke and EUHA Vice President Eva Keil-Becker welcomed the participants. Gromke thanked the speakers and sponsors, drawing attention to the information provided by them. She also mentioned that the event was certified by the Federal Guild of Hearing Aid Acousticians (biha); participants will receive fifteen continuing education units. Keil-Becker summarised: “Hearing and understanding are the gateway to the world.” She said that the Digital EUHA Spring Conference will be running until the end of May, and each participant can put together a suitable programme for themselves. She also encouraged people to get in touch with the speakers to exchange ideas.

Upgrade for all participants
The ticket for the Digital EUHA Spring Conference automatically gives all participants access to the lectures presented at the 2023 EUHA Congress and now available on demand on the EUHA Learning Hub. Buying a ticket will pay off twice.

Keynote: Generation Z
Opening the conference, Michael Kienzle gave a keynote lecture on “Generation Z”. He acted as a mediator between generations and dispelled prejudices against Gen Z. He emphasised their benefits for the industry saying that this generation is the first to start their professional lives as digital natives. He gave tips on how employers can become attractive to this generation, and live the change in values in their companies. This includes providing a pleasant working atmosphere, fun at work, meaningfulness, and professional feedback from the team leader as well as offering an opportunity to develop within the company and benefit from flexible working hours or working from home, for example to do remote fitting of hearing systems.

His advice: “Show Gen Z how fulfilling the profession of hearing aid acousticians can be.” Hearing aid acoustics has the best prerequisites for inspiring Gen Z. Anyone who experiences how fascinated customers and colleagues are with hearing aids, will also inspire the new generation.
