European Phoniatrics EUHA Hearing Award

In October 2014, the first European Phoniatrics EUHA Hearing Award was presented in Moscow. By sponsoring this prize for outstanding research, the European Union of Hearing Aid Acousticians (EUHA) wishes to set an example. At the same time, the award highlights the EUHA's good cooperation with the Union of the European Phoniatricians (UEP), a cooperation aimed at sharing knowledge for the benefit of patients and based on the idea that hearing aid acousticians and phoniatricians should each have their share in patient management. Special emphasis is also put on paediatric audiology, diagnosis, and rehabilitation.

The Union of the European Phoniatricians is an association of physicians specialising in phoniatrics and auditory training. UEP members engage in an exchange of expert knowledge, clinical experience, and scientific findings on these topics. The UEP promotes the cooperation of phoniatricians in Europe and its neighbouring countries.

The 28th Congress of the Union of the European Phoniatricians (UEP) is scheduled to be held from 29 September to 1 October 2016 in Bilbao, Spain.
